I’m excited and proud to announce that I’m the Inaugural Ambassador for @formdanceprojects IDEA’24 International Collaborations Program! I have wanted to support the contemporary dance sector in my hometown for many a year, but have just been waiting for the right opportunity to present itself. FORM has come up with such an innovative and generous offer with their IDEA program. I am looking forward to seeing how the integration of local and global expertise can raise the aspirational benchmark and retention of our own home-grown talent and contribute to revitalising Sydney as a beacon of contemporary dance around the nation and the world.

Botswana - May 2024 I had a truly breathtaking trip to the Okavango Delta. Seven days on safari with the most inspiring scenery, exquisite food, beautiful conversations and connections with people from all over the world, all while learning so much about the animals, their habitat and the local culture. I haven’t felt so peaceful and alive in a long time.

Overwhelmed by the floods of support we have received since the release of Dance Life. In my almost ten years of owning Brent Street, I have never been more nervous, proud and excited at the same time. Myself, Cassie, the students and the whole team at Brent Street put their hearts on the line for the camera crew and I am so thrilled to see all the love everyone is receiving. We set out to make a show that captured the true passion, commitment, talent and magic that the Brent Street community display every day.  The team at Creative Bubble Productions, Biscuit Tin Productions and Perpetual Entertainment put their blood, sweat and tears into this production and made us feel so comfortable along the way. I hope that all young dancers are inspired and that dance studios all across Australia can feel the effects of having dance back on our tv screens! Check out Dance Life on Prime Video now!

A few days ago I found this video of me, from 2008, rehearsing my SYTYCD audition solo. I made it to the Top 40 and was then eliminated going into the Top 20. At the time, I was devastated. Little did I know that this “failure” would set me off on a path that would lead me to where I am today. Whilst dancing like this seems a lifetime ago (14 years - and my spine has aged as well as this choreography), dance was my first love and I am so happy to be a part of the dance industry today. It may be different from what I imagined, but I love it just as much.

L’HOTEL - Adelaide Cabaret Festival Flexing my creative/choreographic muscle after a few years off, has me feeling alive and very grateful. Was nice to be back on the floor and working with some great friends!

10 years ago I was lucky enough to choreograph the original Las Vegas production of Absinthe. Being part of those first few wild months of the Absinthe Vegas journey with Wayne Harrison and Ross Mollison was some of the best times of my life. Sending love to all the Absinthe peeps over the last 10 years and wish you all the best in getting the show back on stage. Time truly does fly!
