This is the first time in last 10 years that we won’t be in Provence South of France during the Lavender season. So offcourse I am missing the endless purple fields and the breathtaking lavender perfume.
But if you are planning to visit Provence to see the lavender fields here are a few travel tips to make the most of your experience:
1️⃣ Timing is Key: The lavender fields are in full bloom from end of June to mid July. Plan your visit during this period for the most vibrant colors!
2️⃣ Explore Multiple Locations: While Valensole is the most famous, don’t miss out on other stunning spots like Puimoisson and Abbaye de Sénanque. Each offers a unique lavender-filled landscape!
3️⃣ Early Morning Magic: Beat the crowds and witness the ethereal beauty by visiting the fields early in the morning. The soft golden light adds a touch of enchantment to your photographs.
4️⃣ Respect Nature: Do not fly drones in the fields. This kills a lot of bees. Also, remember to stay on designated paths and be mindful of the flowers. Help preserve the beauty of the lavender fields for future visitors to enjoy!
5️⃣ Indulge in Local Delights: Don’t forget to savor lavender-infused treats and products, like lavender ice cream or essential oils. It’s a sensory delight!
Now who’s ready to capture their own lavender memories and immerse in the aromatic wonderland of Provence! 😍🌸
