With over 15km of trails to explore and 10 different lookouts boasting expansive city and coastal views, Bold Park is the perfect place to get back to nature without straying too far from the city. The park has a maze of trails that are all linked, ranging from 1km - 10km+, so there’s something for everyone. No matter how many times you visit, you’ll never walk the exact same trail so there’s always something new to discover. The car park is located at the top of the hill on Scenic Drive that’s comes off Oceanic Drive. During peak times it may be difficult to get a park so there’s another car park located near the corner of Perry Lakes Drive and Oceanic Drive. Tag your walking buddy 🫶 #perthisok

The Hyatt Regency Perth has confirmed it will be closing its doors after 36 years of operation in the city. It was confirmed on Monday that its final day of business as a hotel will be August 31. The iconic Perth hotel located on Adelaide Terrace has been a popular choice for tourists and has hosted many famous faces since opening in 1988. Speaking on the closure, WA Premier Roger Cook said: “It’s done such great service to the people of WA… We’ve all got fond memories of the Hyatt, and we’ll be sad to see it go.” Hyatt Regency will be contacting customers with affected bookings and is looking into opportunities for onward job opportunities for current staff. If you’re getting into the walking/hiking game, then you need to check out Ellis Brook Valley Reserve! Located just over 30 minutes from the CBD, this popular walking trail really ticks all the boxes, consisting of 4 walking trails with varying degrees of difficulty. Covering the full walking distance of just over a two kilometres should only take around an hour. Make sure you come prepared if you plan on tackling the full trail, some of the paths are pretty rocky and uneven, so wear appropriate shoes, bring water and sunscreen. The best time of year to go is after some good winter rains as that’s when the waterfalls will be at their biggest, however for wildflower enthusiasts spring is generally the best time.
