🎲 𝐆𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 🎲
🧩 June was probably my most hectic month for board games, with me squeezing in 29 plays of games. 22 of these were unique too! The UK Games Expo accounted for a lot, plus I managed to get plenty of favourites to the table!
🧩 As you can see, Europa Universalis: The Price of Power had the most plays. A few of these were just me trying to learn the game, then a trail run with friends and finally a couple of full solo games. This 4x war game is just…incredible. Probably making my top games list this year!
🧩 Hegemony and An Age Contrived were 2 heavy titles I got to the table a lot and finally managed to get the rules down almost perfectly!
🧩 I taught a lot of games to people last month. John Company, Hegemony, Lorcana, Earth and Lost Ruins of Arnak! All going well and I can see a lot of these being hits with my play group!
🧩 Of course I managed to get a few old favourites in. Flamecraft, Bitoku, Horrified and Eldritch Horror to name a few. Eldritch Horror was one of my first games and it holds a special place in my collection. I forgot how good it was!

ThunderRoad Vendetta is truly Mad Max in a box! The more I play this one, the more I enjoy its chaotic game loop. Maybe I'm becoming more of an Ameri-trash gamer?! 👀
I love me some euro games about economics ... but the silliness of launching a car off a ramp into a wreck is also great 💥🤣
This was another game we played at LememCon and surprisingly I ended up winning! Three of the players at the table had only one car due to all of us having a laugh ramming into one another. It truly was a bump-fest and luckily my final car escaped an attack helicopter to then cross the finish line! 🏁🏎
Some days you are feeling lazy, peopled out, and just want to relax ... until your kid tells you he desperately wants to play a game that is incredibly tedious to set up and legendarily tricky to put back in the box.
I'll send you a postcard from Fireball Island I guess. We're going treasure hunting.
