Piece of Keik episode 29: Keiko Lynn Makes Matching @spoonflower Outfits. I used 3 of Spoonflower’s
newest fabric options — Seersucker, Cotton Silk, and Essex Linen — to make matching Summer outfits
for Bobby and me in a print by Khakifinch. I prefer to wear natural, breathable fibers in my everyday
outfits, especially in the Summer, so I was really excited when they launched 3 new fabrics that feel tailor-
made for me. Sewing with these was a breeze — they press like a dream, are versatile enough to be
used for just about any garment, and mix and match really well! I chose Essex Linen for my beach coat
since I wanted a bit more weight and structure, Cotton Silk for my scarf for that lovely sheen and drape,
and Seersucker for both of our main pieces. I kinda want to make everything out of the Seersucker, now!
It’s so comfy and I love that bit of texture.
Bobby and I have been together long enough that we inadvertently end up matching, but I really wanted
to make us extra matchy-matchy couples outfits. I don’t think I’ve ever made Bobby an outfit, before! I
don’t know why menswear always feels so much more intimidating to me, but now that I’ve made Bobby a
full outfit I want to make more. I’m pretty proud of these! Everything is linked in stories. #ad

Step inside the Velvet Hippo 🦛🍸
@velvethippodurham is a woman-owned neighborhood bar for everybody, perched on a downtown rooftop in our hometown of Durham, North Carolina.
When designing their dream space, they wanted the first wall guests saw when they walked in the door to convey the Velvet Hippo experience — bright and fun, elegant but not too serious. When their interior designer, @alvahorton brought them this enchanted peacock design by @hollizollinger , it was love at first sight.

@lauraplad used Spoonflower to print their hand-painted shoe pattern on our Sport Piqué fabric! From the earrings to the rhinestoned heels, this self-drafted look is jaw-dropping.

Sew with me KnowMe 2052 with the new Essex Linen from Spoonflower! This linen has a crisp and sturdy feel but it’s really breathable, which is perfect for the Texas heat! I wanted to make this button-down shirt a little longer so I could wear it as a tucked in button-down shirt but also dress! I love how it turned out and can definitely see myself using this fabric for other projects because it’s so versatile! Spoonflower is my one stop shop for custom printed fabric designed by amazingly skilled artists and graphic designers.
