VTITMFGCM!!!!🏁🏁 I’m excited, proud, nervous & more than anything, thankful to announce that WE WILL BE OPENING OUR 2ND VILLA’S TACOS!!!!!!!!! in none other than the world famous @grandcentralmarketla . It’s always been a dream of mine to one day have a Villa’s Tacos in the GCM & that day, is finally here. I’m so grateful & thankful for this opportunity, for Adam, Benito, Justin & everyone else @grandcentralmarketla . We truly appreciate it. We couldn’t have done it without the love & support from each & every single one of you. I’m just a kid from the north east who had a vision of not only selling tacos, but selling the best tacos. To the world. I never looked back. Especially when times got hard. I started off selling tacos in the front yard of my grandma’s house here in Highland Park on November 2nd, 2018. We stayed true to our company, our product & that extra love that you feel when you come to Villa’s Tacos. We hustled for 4+ years & finally opened our first Villa’s Tacos brick & mortar on February 5th, 2023. Now, almost 5 years later after selling that very first taco on November 2nd, 2023, WE ARE GETTING READY TO OPEN UP…. (like @djkhaled says).. ANOTHA ONE!!! Not just anywhere. In the MF’N GRAND CENTRAL MARKET!!!! LFG!!!!!!! We’ll have more details & an opening day soon but I just wanted to fill you guys in & let you know the GREAT NEWS. We’re open until 10pm & we’re open M-Sunday from noon-10pm. The Highland Park location will remain open. FOREVER. As long as you guys keeping coming, so will we. I JUST FOUND OUT SOME REALLY GOOD NEWS & DIDN’T WANT TO WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW TO POST IT SO HERE IT IS. WE’LL BE COMING OUT IN SEASON 3 OF @NETFLIXMX #TACOCHRONICLES . GOD IS GOOD. A little over a year ago, we had the pleasure of working with the @netflix team in filming the 3rd season of my favorite show EVER, #LasChronicasDelTaco . As a proud taquero, this show is the ONLY show I’ve ever binged watched & hoped & prayed that one day, maybe we would come out. Well, it happened & on November 23rd (exactly one day before my 30th birthday) it makes its world premiere on NETFLIX!!!!!!!!!! Talk about a birthday gift huh?! In anything we do, we make sure to always do it with love, passion & always make sure to give it our all & do it to the best of our ability. I can confidently say that we did exactly that this episode. I can’t wait to watch it, share it with the world & I can’t wait to continue doing what we love to do until forever & ever. 2 WEEKS AGO I POSTED ON IG THAT I DIDN’T GET THE SPOT I WANTED. 1 WEEK AGO I CAME ACROSS A SIGN IN A RESTAURANT IN HIGHLAND PARK THAT SAID “FOR SALE.” I CALLED THE NUMBER & TOLD THEM I WAS INTERESTED. THIS WEEK I SIGNED THE LEASE & BOUGHT THE RESTAURANT. TODAY, I RECEIVED THE KEYS. HERE WE GO. OUR 1ST BRICK & MORTAR. GOD IS GOOD. I can say I was at the right place at the right time. The previous owners had just put up a physical sign hoping someone from the neighborhood would come across it before they had to put it up on the internet. Luckily for me, a week ago was our 4 year anniversary & I felt lucky. I came across this sign that said the restaurant was up for sale. I called, met the owners & there was instant chemistry. I told them I would be honored to take over & they told me they would be honored to have me take over. Yesterday I officially became the owner & today, I received the keys. There’s still A LOT of work that needs to be done. A bunch of elbow grease & lots & lots of TLC. No worries, we will get it done. I’m so excited. We will keep you updated along the way & can’t wait to share more details. This home is located on Figueroa but don’t worry, we will still continue doing what we do best on York whenever the time comes to open here. I just wanted to share the great news with all of you. We’re back this weekend, & all weekend in front of our familia @blockpartyhlp & we can’t wait to see & serve all of you. We’re back tomorrow from 4-11pm. We will be celebrating our 4 year anniversary (& my birthday) this year with another #ParaLosNiñosTacoTour in Mexico & wrapping it up in our community of Highland Park (more info soon). Thank you. MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT‼️ WE ARE OPENING A BARBERSHOP DOWN THE STREET FROM VILLA’S TACOS & OUR GRAND OPENING DAY WILL BE IN 2 WEEKS @VILLASBARBERSHOPLOSANGELES “HOME OF THE WEEKLY TINGZ, WEEKLY TINGZ.” 💈 Eversince I started working as a kid at 15, I would cut my hair every week. More than 15 years later I still do, but now, I will be cutting my hair cut every week at my own barbershop @villasbarbershoplosangeles . We will be opening in 2 weeks & we have space for 2 more barbers. (If you’d like to apply, email us @ villastacoslosangeles@gmail.com & include some pics of your work.) Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always wanted to open up a barbershop. Opening up a barbershop was always a goal of mine. A couple months ago I had the opportunity of leasing a perfect spot located right next to what I consider the best hat store in LA @the4thquartershop & across the street from my go to arcade @barcade . This barbershop will be a true gentleman’s experience. Hot towel shaves included in every cut, a great shave every cut, an iced cold one while you get your haircut & a place where you can call home. ONE OF MY GOALS THIS YEAR WAS TO REGAIN OUR TITLE, MAKE HISTORY ONCE AGAIN & CALL IT QUITS. WE MADE HISTORY & BECAME THE FIRST EVER 3-TIME @LATACO TACO MADNESS CHAMPIONS. WE DID WHAT WE PLANNED ON DOING & NOW, WE ARE OFFICIALLY DONE WITH THAT CHAPTER OF VILLA’S TACOS. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO VOTED FOR US & MADE IT POSSIBLE. WE LOVE YA’LL. I remember winning our first title in 2021 as a first time participant, with less than 7,000 followers & as an underdog. It felt pretty awesome not gonna lie. We won again in 2022 & became the first ever back-to-back champions. That felt pretty awesome too not gonna lie!haha We fell short by a hair in 2023 & this year, you guys helped really show why we’re the “300 of the taco game.” Our participation in the contest is a thing of the past but man, what a ride we had!!! None of it wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t for the love & support for each & every single one of you. WE did it. Now, we’re done! Shoutout to my team, the BEST team in the whole wide world.
