🎨 ✨ Today we unveiled a new mural at 27th + Larimer in Denver as one of four sites chosen for Absolute Equality’s national Juneteenth Mural Project. Denver has a rich history and legacy centered on black Americans. In the 1850s, free blacks and enslaved people journeyed alongside fur trappers and miners to Colorado in search of financial opportunities in the gold mines. The promise of freedom in the American Southwest made Denver a prime location for those who desired a life based on the idea of "absolute equality." -- absoluteequality.org We were thrilled to welcome back award-winning and world-renowned artist Thomas Evans aka Detour for the creation and unveiling of their incredible portrait of Clara Brown. If you’re in Denver’s RiNo district, please stop by Noble Riot to check out our latest mural. 📷 by @dean_maschine . Left to right: Darrel Anderson, Thomas Evans aka @detour303 , Al Gardner.
i'll be biking by later today to see it. Well done.
