Journey through history with magic mushrooms! 🍄 Magic mushrooms have a rich and fascinating history, woven into the fabric of our ancient cultures and traditions. Their role in ceremonial use and folklore twangs a significant chord in human history: Ancient Rituals: Indigenous peoples across the globe, from the Aztecs in Mesoamerica to Siberian shamans, have used magic mushrooms for spiritual ceremonies and healing rituals. Sacred Symbols: Often referred to as "teonanácatl" by the Aztecs, meaning "flesh of the gods," these mushrooms were believed to connect humans with the divine. Cultural Artifacts: Cave paintings and artifacts from prehistoric times depict mushrooms, indicating their long-standing importance in human history. Magic mushrooms have transcended time, continuing to be a source of curiosity, healing, and spiritual exploration. 🌍💫 Have you learned about any fascinating uses of magic mushrooms in history? Share your knowledge and thoughts in the comments🍄💬🙏 As of 2005 and the ammendment of the 1971 misuse of drugs act, mushrooms containing psilocin or 'magic mushrooms' were reclassified as Class A drugs. Meaning since 2005 it's been illegal to import, export, produce, supply or possess magic mushrooms in any form... It is however, completely legal to possess the spores of magic mushrooms, simply because they don't contain psilocin! Spores can be purchased legally for the purpose of being viewed under a microscope🤓..they can also be stored until such time that magic mushrooms may be made legal again! 😅 #magicmushrooms #history #jurassiccoastmushrooms #magic #fungifacts #spores #microscopy #dorset
