Japan 😍 I’ve been wanting to visit here for soo many years, and Kyoto did not disappoint!! A beautiful culture to witness, and try to immerse oneself in. Finally, a place where English doesn’t quite get you by ;)
I was a bit nervous for my picky palate (disclaimer: I am NOT a sushi lover) and packed many granola bars in prep- but in the end I was happy it “forced” me to experiment with foods that are a bit outside my comfort zone, and it turns out I didn’t need that many granola bars after all.
Quick highlights: the best Matchas I’ve ever had, the best WAGYU oh my 🤤, real life Geishas, tiny alleyways teeming with hidden gem restaurants and bars, random karaoke night with a Japanese running team we met at dinner, head spas, stunning historical landmarks, and such considerate people :) Can’t WAIT to go back!!
Of the 5 city 1 month Asia tour- this was without a doubt my favorite spot 😍
