Vägevat jaanipäeva! Happy Midsummer’s Eve! Even though our Estonian ancestors Summer Solstice celebrations may have looked like scenes from the horror movie “Midsommar”, nowadays it’s about lighting bonfires, searching for fern blossoms during midnight in the deep forest ( ferns never bloom though), Kiiking (Estonian invented swinging sports) and enjoying the longest white night- sun barely sets then.
