Grilled chicken/ tandoori chicken
Ingredients
1 kg chicken pieces of your choice
1 and 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp haldi/ turmeric
1 tbsp vinegar
Marinade
4 tbsp oil
1 tbsp salt
1 tsp chilli powder
5 tbsp yoghurt
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp Kasuri methi
1 tbsp ginger garlic green chilli paste
1/4 tsp red food colour
Method to make
Make deep cuts in chicken pieces. Rub with salt, turmeric and vinegar.
Leave it for 20 mins. Drain out excess liquid
Heat oil in a pan till hot.Add red chilli powder.
Immediately close the flame and transfer to a bowl to avoid burning of chilli.
Add this to the chicken pieces
Also add other marinade ingredients in chicken
Rub the marinade ingredients in chicken properly and leave it for 1 hour or overnight
Place the chicken pieces inlarge piece of aluminium foil paper and cover properly
Add little water in a Kadhai
Place the stand and foil parcel on it.
Cover and cook on low to medium flame for 30-40 minutes until chicken becomes soft.
Then close the flame.
Brush oil on chicken pieces
Transfer each piece to a frying spider or wire rack.
Brush with oil and roast over high flame until charred from both sides
Serve with onions, lemon slices,green chutney or raita and enjoy
