The day of… Many might be surprised, but I never dreamt of having a big wedding. I always knew I wanted something more intimate. We got our marriage license in Los Angeles at @hotelbelair on Mother’s Day with our parents present. We’re both very close to our families and wanted them to be part of our marriage, so that was a very special day for all of us. Stefan and I then had our ceremony in Italy, where we exchanged personal vows with an officiant leading a heartfelt, intimate service for just the two of us. The tiny chapel at @rosewoodcastigliondelbosco has huge history, adorned with 14th-century frescos by Pietro Lorenzetti. Our ceremony was followed by most beautiful private candlelit dinner, prepared by the Rosewood’s Michelin star chef atop the highest point of the property, overlooking the vineyards and Val d’ Orcia, a UNESCO world heritage site. The day and evening were magical, and doing it this way allowed us to both be so present and in the moment, focused solely on each other and the beauty of our surroundings. I wouldn’t change a thing. The night didn’t end there, though. I’ll share more about that soon.
