Building new electricity transmission lines is an essential part of the energy transition in Germany. They will allow wind and solar power, generated in the north and east of the country, to be made available to consumers nationwide. Extensive stakeholder analysis and management is necessary to put all of this new infrastructure in place. Arcadian Frank Dunkel and his team integrated geoinformation and citizen feedback, from tens of thousands of individual contacts, in order to facilitate the construction of 1300km of green energy highways.
