Celia Keenan-Bolger

I met @kelliohara on a mountaintop in Utah at the Sundance Theater Lab in 2002. We were working together on a musical by Adam Guettel and Craig Lucas. We were fast friends and expert hikers/yogis. We took care of each other through some early career heartbreak. We remained friends throughout all these years. But then during Covid it was like the time signature of the universe put us in synch so that we could spend time together and connect and go deep. I love her so much. She is the embodiment of grace. Spending that time together was one of the greatest gifts of my pandemic. This year I watched in absolute awe as she performed in another Adam Guettel/ Craig Lucas collaboration and it is something I will NEVER FORGET. I felt lucky to be alive to witness it. It is hands down, one of the great musical theater performances. Ever. When I saw her at the nominees luncheon yesterday @jennyandersonphoto made sure to get a photo of us. Every year I’ve been nominated for a Tony award Kelli has been there with me. What a gift it has been to travel this long and difficult and glorious road with her by my side.
