@eater_dc Sid Gold’s Request Room, a retro piano bar featuring live karaoke, will debut in the Union Market district this spring.
Co-founder Paul Devitt (of Beauty Bar fame) teamed up with former Psychedelic Furs keyboardist Joe McGinty to open the original mid-century influenced piano bar in New York’s Chelsea neighborhood in 2015. Two others followed in Detroit and Nashville. The fourth edition in D.C., complete with a stylish bar slinging classic cocktails, will invite novice singers to take to its nighttime stage (with help from a live pianist).
