Uluabat is relatively a big, yet, a very shallow lake in Bursa containing seven islands which might also turn into peninsulas depending on the season. Golyazi is one of these islands and a small rock bridge is used to get to this historical town. In mythology, it is claimed that this town is founded for the name of Apolloniatis, the God of Light. Renting a small boat, visiting antique structures around the town and the lake, and tasting lake fishes might be a few things to do.
