But you’re a human, not a robot. And “perfect” is in the eye of the beholder… who’s to say what is or isn’t? So instead of aiming for perfection, consider these goals when auditioning: • Connection • Active listening • Full body awareness • Complex, layered emotions • Trust that the camera will sense your deep, subtle work • Clarity and understanding of the text (Notice I didn’t say things like lack of background noise or edge-free backdrops?) Professional athletes don’t execute perfectly every time. They train to give themselves the best chance at succeeding, no matter the circumstances.
