On May 4, 2024, 6D Helmets co-founder, Robert Reisinger suffered a horrific accident while competing at Glen Helen Raceway. His life was saved by the many concerned individuals on site before he was transported to Loma Linda trauma center where they continued to perform lifesaving activities and surgery to repair a broken C2 vertebrae. Unfortunately, on Friday, May 17th, Robert succumbed to his injuries.
Robert was a co-founder here at 6D Helmets and led our engineering department for over a decade. He is the reason 6D Helmets are what they are today. His dedication to safety, and the ongoing development of our technology was his highest concern. Robert was an exceptional engineer and uncompromising in his work, all of which is reflected in everything that makes 6D helmets what they are. His work also inspired the helmet industry to search for improved methods and designs. His influence and contributions will be dearly missed.
Robert is survived by his son Nicholas, wife Kristina, his Father, and 4 siblings.
