@mariah_langit accurately describes what is happening to our Bali home 💔
・・・
Bali is getting cooked. I’ve been blessed to live on Bali on and off for 22 years, and the levels of construction and destruction recently have reached heartbreaking levels. Many Balinese are in mourning. If you’re new to Bali, please consider your impact. If you’d like to surf, I recommend other islands in Indonesia. If you’d like to party, I’d recommend other places in the world. If you’re here for a instagrammable and healthy lifestyle, unfortunately the pollution is coming for that too. If you’re coming for spiritual reasons, please deeply consider the local culture, religion and natural world. If you are considering making money off Bali without a long term relationship or plan for sustainability, just don’t. If you do come or you’re already here, please see
