Work has been nuts and this day trip was the break from reality I didn’t realize I needed
Caught a 7am flight to Orlando, rented a car (cheaper than ubering back and forth), and walked into Epcot at 11am for about 5 hours.
For the first time I was able to catch the first round of virtual queue for Guardians at 12:30. We got to enjoy the spring garden festival, indulge in some treats and ride a few rides.
We had the peach Bellini, fruit loops shake, cinnamon roll bites, sausage and biscuit, spicy chicken gumbo, boozy tropical tea lemonade, creme brûlée beignet, and pineapple dole whip.
We rode guardians, living with the land and spaceship earth.
Walked and shopped and ate until about 3:45pm then headed back to the airport for our 6:30pm flight home.
If you can do it, do it. It sucked having a meeting at 6am this morning but I have no regrets 🖤

It’s been a whole week since you were taken from us and I’m still waiting to wake up from this nightmare. The fact that I’m writing these words breaks my heart all over again.
Uncle Chris, you are an unrivaled light and without you this world just got darker. I will always cherish the memories - from jumping in the pool immediately after pulling into the driveway without changing into our bathing suits, riding front row on the best coasters (universal, six flags, Kennywood & cedar point) getting caught in torrential downpours on the front of Toms boat & hanging on for dear life (St. Augustine & Jax), dancing our way through city walk, to Den and I always trying to find our husbands who wandered off together (Ft. Lauderdale, HHN & pretty much anywhere we went). I’m so thankful we came down this summer to spend the weekend with you. James and I miss you terribly already 🖤
Please send my Uncle Den and Chris’ family some love because as hard as this is for us, it’s devastating for them. As you find yourself celebrating the New Year, hug your loved ones a little tighter because life isn’t always fair.
