This was a particularly fun day in stunt rehearsals on @atlasnetflixfilm My title was fight coordinator, and in this role you have to wear many hats, and sometimes several at once. Not only did I get to jump in the harness and do this fun gag with @stuntrig and @chrispattonstunts , I also animated the plate shot in @unrealengine and then composited both shots in @adobe After Effects. From start to export, this whole shot took about 4 hours to complete, thanks to the real time rendering power of Unreal Engine. Many thanks to @alpop.stunts and @brettsheerin for trusting me on this project and giving me so much freedom and responsibility.

ATLAS, now out on Netflix. Thank you so much to stunt coordinator @alpop.stunts @cunning.stunts.ltd and assist coordinator @brettsheerin for putting together such a brilliant team. Shout out to hardest working rigger @stuntrig , and fight coordinator @_ryanthegray_ . Stunt Double for Jlo @amyejohnston (personally requested by Ms Lopez herself!) From green screen madness to rigging in mountains, it was a fun one.

It’s not where you are, it’s who you’re with. Huge thanks to @alpop.stunts and @brettsheerin for laying the foundation for a great show and a great team! After awhile all the shows start to blur together and just become on big movie. The friends and good times are really the only things that remain over the years, and I’m so grateful to have the memories with my mates on @atlasnetflixfilm From playing “atlas ball” with the team every morning without fail, to electrocuting each other with shock knives, this show has to be the pound for pound heavy hitter in the laughs department. Much love to all involved 🤖 🫶

This is a test project from the end of 2021 in which I wanted to explore using four @xsens mocap suits simultaneously. I wanted to do contact tests with close quarter combat and binding techniques. I was very happy with the results @xsens delivered. During the strikes last year I revamped the project for the @unrealengine Animation Fellowship. I wanted to explore mixing animation with mocap, and this was my first attempt. Thank you to the performers who brought their skill and expertise to the project: @tuhhny_vee @katieohhh @trvrlogan @jessiegraffpwr #animation #unrealengine #ue #starwars

Some Behind the Scenes footage of Rebel Moon from my own iPone. Revealed in an interview with the man himself, Zack Snyder, on GeekedWeek. I was the Fight Coordinator and was in charge of creating the fight scenes and training the actors for their roles. These clips are from the rehearsals I ran with @sofisia7 and miss @doonabae These women were absolute badasses that brought their A-game every day. Huge thanks to Damon Caro and John Koyama @3youngkings for bringing me onboard this amazing interstellar vessel. Congrats to @freddy_b_ Freddy Bouciegues for bringing her home! @rebelmoon @zacksnydersrebelmoon @rebelmoonnetflix @rebelmoonupdate #rebelmoon

This is my contribution to the @unrealengine Fellowship for Animation, hosted by Epic Games. This was one of the most supportive and inspiring educational experiences I have ever been apart of. To say it was a privilege to participate in the fellowship would be an understatement. My goal was to extend the “Epic Universe” by using assets they had released for demos in the past, and extending the story line presented in those demos. Special thanks go out to the two performers who donned the mocap suits with me: @theklahutyrova and @dmitsergei . Thekla played “Echo” in the original “Slay” Demo for UE 5.1. If you ever need a talented female mocap performer, I can’t recommend Thekla enough. Sergei and I fall on the ground pretty good as well! I’d finally like to thank Epic Games for providing such a wonderful and transformative program to the public. The time I got to spend with gifted artists and brilliant minds will be an experience I’ll cherish for years. Thank you to everyone involved! #unrealengine #unrealfellowship #epicgames #animation #mocap #stunts #actiondesigner

Completely created by myself (choreo, performance, edit) in a hotel room in Belfast, this was my first fight scene I ever made in @unrealengine using @movellaent Xsens mocap suit. Fighting myself, I recorded both roles independently and had to stitch them together in Unreal Engine. I was in Belfast for Dungeons and Dragons, enjoying 10 days of quartintine when my friend Phil Nelisen asked me to make him a Previs for a fight scene he had coming up in the new Transformers movie. Granted this work was never used, but it was the impetus I needed to motivate me to do something new that I’d never done before. Hope you enjoy my little cartoon! #transformers #riseofthebeasts #anime #cartoon

To be recognized by the cast and crew in such a way is a huge honor, and I am very grateful for Ms. Rodriguez’s and Mr. Pine’s words of respect and validation. I am very proud to be apart of the stunt team that dedicated so much of themselves to this project. While our job is to remain behind the scenes and to help the actors shine, it is always appreciated when the stars share the spotlight for a brief second to recognize the stunt team. Lots of love and lots of respect 🙏

Nowhere Man: Episode 5 - NOWHERE TO DIE This is a project long in the making. I captured the mocap data almost two years ago while working on location as a stunt double for Edgar Ramirez on Florida Man. I had just finished watching No Time to Die in the theaters; the first theater expeience I’d had since lock down. I was so inspired by the movie and the action it, it reminded me of why I wanted to be a stunt man in the first place. So I went to my Airbnb and wrote a short script, performed and recorded the mocap data for all the roles, and the project went no where. Time passed and I finally had a chance to open up the old data files and make a scene. I wanted to try and stay true to the cinematic feeling of a Bond movie as best I could. This was my first time doing a long animation sequence, so it was a bit of a rough learning curve. But I’m happy where it is, for now. It was also quite difficult to do a gun disarm against myself! I captured all the mocap data with my @xsens Link suit, and did all the animation and rendering in the @unrealengine . I hope you enjoy, NOWHERE TO DIE
