The gender pay gap is significantly smaller in construction occupations, with women earning on average 95.5% of what men make. Women working in construction numbered 10.9% of the entire U.S. workforce in 2022. My hope is by sharing more building content that it will inspire young women to pursue careers in stem and close the pay gap permanently. #homebuilder #interiordesign

I am so thrilled I’ll be driving around my brand new Infiniti QX50 during my reign. Thank you to @southwestinfiniti for providing such a magnificent car. It is a tradition for Texas queens to name their cars. I named mine, Big Tex!

I am still processing all of my emotions from last weekend. My experience at Miss Texas USA, exceeded all my expectations. I feel so much gratitude for the connections I was able to make with not only the incredible women competing, but the amazing Miss Texas USA staff that supported every single one of us the whole way. My crowning was a moment I will remember forever.

Miss Texas USA finals are tonight! I couldn’t be more grateful for every person that has touched my journey and impacted my life beyond pageantry. This gown was designed with love by @dheygalaviz . I cried the first time I saw it in person. I felt so incredible last night. My gown is a mix of who I was at Dallas and who I I’ve become to prepare for the Miss Texas stage. @officialthombrodeur I love you, thank you so much for being a guiding light during this process. Your work and dedication speaks for itself. Dallas I love you and hope I make y’all proud tonight.

Saturday morning the Alpha Beta Phi Omega Chapter hosted their annual “Minding My Black Owned Business” Pop-Up Shop on This event showcased over 30 local black entrepreneurs while highlighting youth vendors. Prior to the event, I was able to visit with the chapter’s Youth Leadership Institute participants. The program is led by youth ages 11-13. Each interactive workshop involves decision-making and building strong leadership abilities. A program that aligns with my own advocacy so well. I was able to engage with the youth and answer questions regarding my journey in pageantry and entrepreneurship. It was a wonderful event.
