🚨 If you watch one thing I do this year, I hope it’s this clip. It’s the first time I’ve ever teared up on the show because it is so meaningful to me…please watch it all the way to the end 😢
This week, it was surreal to have
@katiecouric on set for the first time. She’s one of the main reasons I became a broadcast journalist in the first place. One of the main lessons I learned from her? Use the platform to highlights causes that matter.
With that model in mind, one of the issues I’ve championed on TV for more than 14 years is fighting ALS.
I’ve been so honored to host the annual walk for
@youralsnetwork & profile incredible people like Nanci Ryder,
@mariwinsor , and
@adybarkan .
One of the most heartbreaking tasks at
@foxla was writing obits for all three of them.
But one of the most inspiring things has been getting to know
@bwall5020 &
@abrevayasandra this week. Their lobbying via
@iamalsorg has helped raise $1 billion in federal funds for research & changed the way patients can access drugs.
Their story is the subject of the new
@primevideo documentary
@forloveandlifefilm , streaming on Tuesday.
They’re so full of hope…and are actual proof that a few individuals *can* change the world.
If you like this clip, I encourage you to share it out so more people can hear their story.
