I am teaching a Woodburning 101 - Mandala Edition Class in downtown Harrisburg @elementarycoffeeco on Saturday, May 25th from 12-2. Bring a friend, grab some coffee & come create with me! Woodburning is incredibly therapeutic & I want to share my passion with you.

This piece I made with thought of turning this into a class where you do a simple woodburning with teachable techniques. Then we’d go into it with color to truly accentuate your simple lines and bring to life your masterpiece…..what do you think? Should I make more of these with different color variations & teach a class on it?

Cryptid fans rejoice! For the Mothman plushies have arrived! The smallest plushie has sold but the larger one is available on my website (artsylikewhoa.com) sometime this week.

Pattern 📝: Mini Mothman by @sugarwyrm (found pattern through @ribblr_it )
Yarn 🧶:
- Stitch Classic+ by Nicole in Black
- red yarn was scrap from my stash
- The fur collar was Red Heart ( @redheartyarns ) Hygge Fur in Soft Taupe
Stuffing ☁️: Polyfil stuffing and scrap yarn
Hook(s)🪝: I experimented with 2.7mm - 3.75mm for the body and the wings. Now if only I can remember which one was which! 😬
Additional Notes: I used a pet brush (the dollar store wire brushes) to fluff out the wings and the ears.

Did you know that a frog can’t keep its eyes open when eating? Frogs do this when they are consuming prey. According to the American Museum of Natural History, “When a frog swallows food, it pulls its eyes down into the roof of its mouth. The eyes help push the food down its throat.” Neat, huh?
Going through my photos from this year and I totally forgot to share this frog that I made back in September. I made three of these frogs with the same colors and they all sold this year. I look forward to restocking these on my website. Follow my shop on Facebook and Instagram to stay up-to-date on inventory updates.
