The amount of texts I got asking my plan this year has been overwhelming to say the least, and I’m happy to let everyone know I’m taking the year off 😅
NY, LA, ASPEN, VEGAS, MIAMI, PARIS, LONDON & more places I’ve celebrated - a month that celebrated “Andjuary” where I made my girlfriends go out every single night of the month(wish I was joking), had over 100 celebrations, an estimate 200 cakes, celebrations with over probably 2000 different people -everyone deserves a year off from the Mariah Carey of birthdays.
This year I halted my usual celebrations, mostly due to everything going on in the world and also to focus on my health and wellbeing first 🩷 hopefully next year the world will be in a place where parties can be fun again.
I mostly realized I’m more than happy just being intimate and being surrounded by people I love so much. The way you view life has so much to do with who you surround yourself with, as someone who has given so much to their friends seeing who has been there for me in a year I didn’t feel myself made me realize who and what really matters. so my only advice (am I old!?) is to surround yourself with the right friends because while you can’t chose your family(although no complaints!) you can choose everyone else in your life.
While my group of friends drama has been to say the least public at points, the bonds I have with them are also like family, and so much more than what people usually get with their best friends. So no shade this year, there is nothing materialistic on my wish list - I’m just thankful for everything I already have.
