📈 #AICEP secured 36 new foreign direct investment (FDI) projects for Portugal in 2023, representing a total investment of 2.739 billion euros and creating 6,810 jobs. Of these, 14 are industrial projects, a rise of about 30% compared to the previous year, in sectors such as automotive, medical devices, and industrial equipment.

The new record of 3.5 billion euros in investment secured by AICEP in 2023 shows that Portugal remains an attractive and dynamic investment destination, driving innovation and economic growth.

Globally, while 126 countries saw improvements in their peace index between 2009 and 2020, the 2023 Global Peace Index (GPI) shows that the average global peace level has worsened for the ninth consecutive year. 84 countries have shown improvement, while 79 have seen a decline.
