Bus Shelter, June 2024 _ I forget that this used to be a photo sharing app , here’s a photo from today that I enjoyed taking .. it’s of the setting sun and the sky , the cliffs and ocean of the uk’s southern coast reflected in the wind-warped Perspex window of a bus shelter I happened to be cycling past .. the reflection was quite low down and I was moving fairly quickly so only just saw it as I went past it.. I then cycled back to take the shot. photography regularly reinforces / reminds me of what I think is one of the most valuable lessons i keep needing to relearn- that there is no guarantee that any moment (or that the arrangement of the variables and ephemera present within it) will ever , ever , exist again outside of itself.. so when my brain is out of its own arse enough to recognise that truth - I cycle back :)

Erland Cooper, Glacier, Barbican [2023] On a drizzly grey day in late April last year Erland set up camp in the Barbican alongside his public installation / durational piece ‘Glacier’ - a beautifully sculpted shard of ice that upon gradually melting would reveal more of the flowers encased within. People came and people left and people came back over the course of the day - but this guy sat beside his meting ice for the best part of twelve hours :) [How do we do know this account to be true? because another guy was also there for twelve hours , with a camera … you can also see our film from the day via Erland’s YouTube channel]

Very very happy (and excited and all the emotions that fall under the umbrella of positivity) to say that a remastered version of ‘I Promise’ will appear on @olafurarnalds @opiacommunity ‘s first compilation 🙏 There are 14 birds in the cover image by Jonathan Newton , one for each composer present on the album .. I don’t have a photo of me as a bird so I’ve opted to share a relatively recent picture of me taken by my laptop - for anyone who might have forgotten or not know what I look like in human form

Offline _ (music video + link in bio) Produced in 2019 / released in 2020 the film disappeared from YouTube and have only just got round to reuploading .. the narrative somewhat eerily preempted the desolation / isolation of the period that was to come yet essentially it’s a film about the comfort of something tangible in a world that’s vanishing .. it’s a beautiful piece and I’m very happy to have it back online ..
