Can you spot the moment I fell in love with Hayley Atwell? (It's a trick question of course, I fell in love with @wellhayley years ago) Yes, this is Hayley and I going back and forth, out of nowhere, with the opening lines to David Bowie's 'Magic Dance' from Labyrinth. As you do. During our Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning - Part 1 interview. Yep. In the UK? Watch our chat / rap in full on @bbciplayer ! Elsewhere in the world? Check out the highlights on @bbcradio1_ !!re!!_039;s YouTube channel (link in bio, you know the deal) #MissionImpossible #HayleyAtwell #Labyrinth #Mission #DavidBowie #Hashtag #Hashtags #DeadReckoning

It looks like I’ve won a competition. 🤣 Because, well, in some ways I have. My life is insane. So yes, that’s right, I just spoke to Lionel Boyce and Ebon Moss-Bachrach in honour of the new series of The Bear dropping yesterday and it was a *delight* The interview will be available to hear on my podcast - BBC Radio 1’s Screen Time - next Friday, so please by all means look forward to that (link in bio if you’d like to subscribe in advance and all that jazz) (I too thoroughly enjoy just how unimpressed Ebon looks here by the way, particularly in comparison to the massive grins from Lionel and I.) No, I didn’t ask Ebon any questions about playing The Thing in the new Fantastic Four, I promise. Pinky swear. No, really. And… yes, it’s sunny and it’s the weekend but just remember: ALL of series three of The Bear is ready to watch as soon as you’re home from wherever you enjoying the beautiful weather today. I binged six eps yesterday, don’t judge me. @disneyplusuk @thebearfx #TheBear

So! Here’s the thing: last Friday night I hosted an amazing @BAFTA Gaming panel in honour of the equally amazing Baldur’s Gate 3 and it was - in short - an absolute delight. Also an honour and a privilege, sure, but “delight” is my key word here. If you’ve listened to any of the Radio 1’s Screen Time gaming podcast specials, you’ll know I truly adore BG3 (and I feel like I spent most of last winter playing and replaying it, to be honest). So to be asked by BAFTA to be part of this event - alongside the wonderful @penny_dreadful - made this particular geek very happy indeed. Highlights include asking the likes of @neilnewbon to read out the classic Come Dine With Me rant “What a sad little life Jane” in the voice of Astarion. Yes, that happened, and much more besides. And @theameliatyler ’s growl? Don’t get me started. Incredible scenes. Truly incredible. Fingers crossed you’ll get to see some footage from the event soon! Thank you to everyone involved at BAFTA, including (but not limited to) @xgraceshin , Luke Hebblethwaite, @hazzabalmforth and, well, the whole gang. And @larianstudios themselves of course, notably Swen Vincke, Adam Smith and Chrystal Ding, not forgetting Borislav Slavov, or Dave Jones, Tracy Wiles and Andrew Wincott, who were all *such* good value and made my job so easy. Oh and the first three photos - the professional, classy ones - are courtesy of BAFTA / Dan Fearon. *Why* did I use such a thick pen?!? Best of luck (as ever) reading this. When will I learn? A properly old school #FeltTipPenReviews review for you as Inside Out 2 is now in cinemas and is… actually really quite good? A “winner”, like I say above - if you can read my hamfisted fat-nibbed scrawl. The film isn’t perfect but it is a genuine success, and a real relief for those of nervous that Pixar’s sequel to the modern classic that is the original wouldn’t deliver. Watch it, enjoy it, bring the family, go on. And let me know if you’ve already seen it what you made of the movie! #InsideOut #InsideOut2 #Pixar

That’s it. That’s the question. And for ease - sort of - let’s say “films released in the UK in 2024”, that way you can include the likes of The Holdovers, Poor Things, Perfect Days and so on (but not Anatomy Of A Fall, as it goes - that came out November 2023) #Film #Films #Movies #Film2024

Of *course* I asked wonderful Anya Taylor-Joy about being buried alive in Furiosa. Just one of those fun questions I like to ask people, you know? (Also, who’s seen Furiosa yet? What did you make of it? Thoughts in the comments section if you please) ——- In the UK? Watch my ‘Becoming… Furiosa’ interview in full on @bbciplayer Otherwise check out the highlights on @bbcradio1 ’s YouTube channel or listen to the whole shebang on my podcast, BBC Radio 1’s Screen Time, with a bonus conversation with the man who wrote the book on Mad Max - genuinely - one Ian Nathan, where we discuss the legacy of Max Rockatansky and George Miller’s incredible career. #Furiosa #MadMax #GeorgeMiller #AnyaTaylorJoy #FuriosaAMadMaxSaga @anyataylorjoy
