An 86 cm (curved carapace length) loggerhead turtle named "Juan" was encountered in the Ceuta Canyon on the 15th of April and was tagged onboard Toftevaag. The patient was taken to CECAM (Centro de Estudio y Conservación de Animales Marinos de Ceuta) for an examination to see if it had ingested plastics plus additional scanning and was monitored until its release.
