Happy Fathers Day Dad!! Thank you for being a great example of what a father should be my whole life. I love you and I’m so excited you’re living your best retired life. Can’t wait to see you and Mom in a couple weeks!
Last month my family, my brother’s family, and my mom visited the big island of Hawai’i. I’ll be sharing what we did for the next couple of posts.
We flew into Kona and settled in with unexpected rain which led to a colorful sunset and hospitality from friends we haven’t seen in awhile from back in the Bay, but now Kona locals (@alohaboydean and @clairekoenig ). After a great dinner, we all strolled down to the round lobby in front of the Kona Inn (Restaurant). Mounted around the bannister were replicas of record-breaking fish, how much they weighed, the crew that caught them, and how long it took to reel them in. We’re also standing in front of an original racing canoe made of all Koa wood.
