Alsatian culture is characterized by a blend of German and French influences. 😊 𝔽𝕦𝕟 𝕗𝕒𝕔𝕥: The château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg is one of France's great medieval castles. Perched on a rocky hill at an altitude of 757 metres, Haut-Kœnigsbourg commands incredible views on the vineyards of the Alsatian Plain. 📍𝕍𝕒𝕣𝕖𝕟𝕟𝕒 🇮🇹 is a small picturesque town on the eastern shore of Lake Como in Italy. If you're looking for a few days away in a picture postcard place that is easy to get to, then I'd say you need to look no further than Varenna. It is not overrun by tourists, it's laidback and it is stunningly beautiful and peaceful in so many ways. If you’re looking to rest and regroup, I cannot imagine a more suitable place than Varenna. 😊 𝔽𝕦𝕟 𝕗𝕒𝕔𝕥: The village was founded by fishermen in 768 AD, due to its strategic position and proximity to abundant sources of fish. Later on it became part of Lake Como. 🏠 ℙ𝕝𝕒𝕔𝕖 𝕥𝕠 𝕤𝕥𝕒𝕪: Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni. Owned a family for 3 generations, Villa Serbelloni stands at the end of the Bellagio promontory, with views of Lake Como and the Alps. Italy's creamy cornmeal is a staple of many dishes in the north of the country, and Lake Como is no exception. You'll see polenta prepared in a variety of ways all over the lake, one of our favorites is polenta balota. Missoltino. The missoltini are small shads from the lake, they are put in salt and dried for days.
