After living in an old beauty of a Victorian rowhome for 18 years, we embarked on a renovation last fall and are getting closer and closer to the finish line. 🪚 Renovating a 140-year-old house has been a bit like pulling a thread on a sweater … but we’re in good hands with the amazing teams from @sanabriaandco + @sestakremodeling . I joked early on that I’m trying to find a happy place where earthy warm Mediterranean vibes can meld into the Victorian bones, and while I’m pretty sure #VictorianMediterranean is not a thing … I think we’re getting there. Wait until you see the shower. Can’t wait to show you more as we wrap this baby up! 🏠

📣 We have some big news to share! 📣 After more than 11 amazing years inside Union Market, we are expanding into a sunshine-filled new space just a block from our original home! ☀️
Our new shop will move us onto the vibrant corner of 4th Street and Neal Place. With more room to play, we’re excited to expand into a broader selection of furniture, ethical fashion and all the handmade goods you’ve come to know and love. Change is always a little scary and leaving our cozy nest where we started inside the market is giving me lots of feels … but we’re so pumped to evolve and innovate in the neighborhood where it all started.
We’re hard at work behind the scenes and plan to make the big move in May so stay tuned here for updates. Until then, we’ll see you in our regular spot inside the market and over on 14th Street.

🫒 sweet november 🫒 Earlier this month, I spent a big birthday harvesting olives with friends and family. Marking another trip around the sun in a special place with special people, picking what is my favorite fruit / salty thing on earth, filled me with so much gratitude. 800 pounds of 🫒, 50 liters of fresh green oil and a full heart to show for it. 💓
✨ 09.09.22 ✨ A few of my favorite design details … we laid the tables with “roba de llengües” (cloth of tongues) runners made by @teixitsvicens , who have been making beautiful textiles on the island since 1854. The colors woven through the ikat ended up mirroring the stunning sunset timed perfectly with the full harvest moonrise. 🌝
I have a thing for the caper plant (and caper flowers, caper berries and salty capers) and its ability to grow out of the least hospitable rocky cracks, and the talented Gabina of @chillmeout_mallorca managed to incorporate trailing caper vines into my bouquet. 🌱
