We had the best time making her dreams come true.
She asked for a hot pink limo dance party. Some needed a quick nap in our 90 minute time. Haha. We went up and down the strip dancing to all of her favorite songs. And it was THE BEST.
She got to make slime with her friends from scratch. That was insanely sticky. But so cool.
We finished the night with dinner and ice cream. Everyone got their own sundae. So yummy.
It was her special day. And we all loved celebrating her. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I don’t have a favorite place, I have a favorite people. And when I’m with any of them, it’s my favorite.
We brought the Vegas to Nashville. Also known as Nash-Vegas. One of the artists even went to a high school where I grew up. I kept the original audio so you can hear and feel it the way we did.
Many laughs and a few injuries occurred. Memories were captured on film but held in our hearts. 👢♥️🫶🏼🎥🎻🎼🎂

When you worked a ton, you gave us your days off completely with all the snuggles and swim hangs. Our Midwest summers where we got to spend all your vacation time with family, were some of the best days of my life. When I got to be a teenager, you made me a strategic driver and a critical thinker in all things. And now as a wife and mom, you take trips with us to make special memories and keep hotel costs low, but to show me you’re always close no matter how much life changes. You answer all the calls to help us navigate the challenges of life. Thank you just doesn’t do it. Your impact is always living through us. And for that I am so grateful.

You know what I would say if you and I were riding in the car together… chatting about life…. Processing what we’ve been experiencing….
One of the things I’ve been thinking about is our aim.
We live in a time of social appreciation. We want others to see the good of who we are, the details of our lives, and all the “post-worthy” moments. Not that this is bad. It’s a great way to stay connected. But sometimes it has us grasping at pure air.
What if you’re so much more than your tiny pictures on here and what people think about them? That actually people sometimes have a low bar of what they admire (like what food you ate-ha) & it’s an ever moving target… it has us chasing after a mirage… because who you and I are on here isn’t a fully real picture of any of our lives. Am I right. So if someone likes “us” they really just like a moment of our life.
But here’s the shift.. you aiming higher is so much more rewarding.. truly fulfilling. How high? To the heavens.
God’s ways are always higher. They’re better. In fact the best.
I believe that when we change our aim from post worthy to God-worthy, we find something more than happiness or approval… we find true, good, purpose that impacts our lives exponentially.
So my goal this week is to let God direct my paths all the more. And not just point me in the right direction (although that’s important), but to walk with Him step by step. Invite Him in. Talk to Him about all the things. And live by His values for His approval. His opinion is the one that matters. His thoughts & algorithms don’t change. He loves you always. And wants the best for you and others.
So let’s make His ways our ways. His heartbeat, our likes… Our rhythm… our aim. ❤️

I’m so thankful for our relationship. It’s the constant in so many changing seasons that has gifted me with strength and love.
You bring all the warmth to my life. You’re the sunshine on a dark day. The comfort in the hardships. The presence needed to bring love in at significant times. You’re always there when I need you most. And you being there or anywhere is the best gift.
You’re the magic in the moment. You are so intentional and thoughtful in all you do. And all of us are beyond grateful for the memorable times marked by your special touch.
Your faith is a shining light all of us have been led by. You built the foundations of my beliefs and helped me lean into the most important truths that I continue to be guided by today and pass on to my kids. You formed the core of who I am from an early age with biblical truth that has blessed me in every way.
And watching you do all of these things now for my kids is the most special joy I could hope to feel.

Happy Birthday to my ultra sweet mini bestie BRIAR ROSE 🌹!!! She works hard at her goals. I’ve never seen a little girl try harder to get a 100% on her tests. But she’s also the most nurturing thing. Just mention anything that’s wrong, and she’s there to comfort you. She’s kind to everyone. Loves to sing songs to God. Is so dang funny. Understands deep things.
