This is what happens when you do take care of yourself. My rosacea got so bad because I failed to go for BBL treatments for 3 years. I feel electrocuted out of my mind , hopefully it got my brain to work again. If you #rosacea it is recommended to go for treatments. I had to endure the ⚡️ but it will help me feel better for the next few months. AND THIS IS NOT A COSMETIC PROCEDURE. It’s to recover my skin from a constant state of burning 🔥 and itching.
Today there were times, I couldn’t breathe because my mind was racing out of control but sometimes you have to take a simple image to remind yourself of where you came from and how far you have come. Never in a million years did I think the kid from the small fishermen’s village on the West Coast of SA would be in job he dreamed of since he was 10. It came with huge sacrifices, and it is the biggest honour but also the hugest responsibility to be doing what I am doing. I have never taken my own dreams lightly, pushed myself harder than anyone else did and I am filling myself with the deepest gratitude as I am trying to fall asleep knowing that I am really doing all of it with dedication, passion and the right reasons. And I am deeply grateful for all the people that guided me along the way. The teachers that believed in me, the people that took me under their wing but most of all the people that carried me on their shoulders. Nothing in life comes easily for most of us but we must believe, persevere and sometimes believe hard enough to wait 28 years to do what you feel so passionately about. And just don’t give up… because if it could come true for a kid like this, it can for you too. 🙏🏻🤍
And thank you also to my mom who despite her many faults and flaws always made sure I was looked after in difficult circumstances. I hope you are at peace now. 🖤
I always try to be as real as possible because it is something lacking in today’s world.. Rosacea is a condition that not only causes redness and the face. If left untreated it causes irritability, itchiness and your face feeling like it is burning all the time. The bear treatment for it is BBL or dye laser and it id PAINFUL and the smell of your burning skin makes me want to go vegetarian. THIS NOT COSMETIC… it is for relief… although it hurts a lot and I currently still feel like my face is on fire still, it really is the best treatment. One year ago, I received the last ever messages from my mother who would pass away just 4 days later. Her last messages were quite probably the most impactful. 11 months today 🖤 So many things I keep wishing could have been different. But I have learned to hold on to the good no matter how hard it is. There are some things I wish I had done differently, there are some things I wish she had done differently. But childhood is something you spend the rest of your life trying to overcome.
