Happy Fathers Day to all the dads, father figures, step dads, and mamas playing both roles. As Father's Day approaches know there's people out there without theirs. These 3 kids right here lost their dad suddenly in 2020. He sang at the grand ole opry years ago as an audition to Garth Brooks - Shameless. Stage name Michael Stevens. Our daughter has taken up singing like her daddy. And the oldest mopar cars. The middle the creative mindset of construction. In their eyes "daddy" hung the moon, the sun, and the stars. He was their hero with a cape, and S on his chest. Milestones have come and gone that he wasn't able to be a part of where kids expect mom and dad. Our oldest graduation last month. Our oldest prom and 18th birthday. Rewards and concerts for the youngest and birthdays. Middle school dance [prom] for our middle child, along with holidays. Never did I think I'd be raising any of my kids alone as a single mama. Even after our divorce we co-parented in their best interest. 4 Father's Days it's been for them without theirs. Hug your Father, Dad, Step Dad, Father figure and never go without that I love you being said. Our kids spoke to their dad hours before he passed away, but none of us knew that was supposed to be a final goodbye. I hope you don't mind I used your song @brantleygilbert . Thank you!

My escape consists of long dirt roads, windows down, music playing, and a destination with the therapeutic sounds of nature and water flowing. Here the dam drowns out everything! Whenever I'm feeling a rush of emotions or overwhelmed, here the sound of the dam waters show me it's magnitude of sound is grander than all the overwhelming pressure I arrive with. Can't help but to leave this beautiful place wanting to always turn around and go back because of the views and calmness it gives.

Perfectly imperfect and I'm okay with that. It's the simple things in life that make me smile the most. Life definitely hasn't been an easy road at all. There have been times I've hit my knees in desperate prayer for God to give me the strength to keep going. Times I've been the only one fighting a battle where an army was needed, yet I still showed up to fight for, stand by, and protect me and mine. Know this though; your past, childhood, mistakes, fears, and traumas do not have to define you or your destiny. Embrace every single part of life you've endured; it's leading and molding you towards who and where you're meant be. God gives his greatest warriors the hardest battles for a reason and you hold the pen to your own story, your own ending. Know you're beautiful just as you are. Worthy and deserving of a place and person that feels like home; safe & loving. You don't have to settle for less or next best. You get one life, so live everyday as if it's your last. Say the things you need to say to whomever because tomorrow isn't guaranteed to show.

Happy 14th Birthday Lawson Benjamin❣️ You were quite the suprise following a still born birth, but you came into this world, into my life at the perfect timing. God knew I needed you and he surely wanted to test my patience giving me you too! You've a welcoming don't know a stranger type personality that captivates any environment. That quirky joking character that'll make people laugh during the most inappropriate times. Yet a stubbornness about you that reminds me of myself sometimes. You've kept A/B honor roll academically and demonstrated an excellence at band with learning percussion instruments shows me how hard you push yourself to achieve your goals and dreams. I am so honored and proud to be your mama. Your daddy; although he's left this world too soon is and would be so proud of you. I can't wait to see what the next few years of being a teen has in store for you and the opportunities that you'll find along your journey. Know that I am always here for you no matter what. Happy Birthday son, I love you a bushel and a peck 💙

Son, I dont even know where to start .. You've made me so proud with your strength and persistence to achieve many things. It doesn't seem that enough years have passed for this day to have already become today. Where has all the time gone, and so damn fast. It sure feels like only a few years ago you were 4 months old in my lap as I was in my wedding gown getting ready to marry your daddy. Your daddy would of loved to have been here on earth for this day, for this milestone of many that is going to be missed by him in his physical absence. Today a place was held for him, although in picture, and his ashes around your neck; he was still watching son! And he's super proud as are so many others including your Uncle Johnny, Aunt Chrissy, your Nana, grandmothers and grandpa's & greats and siblings we all lost too soon. I love you with all that I am! We all do! I hope you've been taking in all these lessons, found your short comings to work on, and found your own journey to start traveling on. It's all you bud, you accomplished this, you and you alone. Of course we all supported you through it; guided and aided in some ways, but you took the bull by the horns and turned your show into a rodeo of a lifetime. It doesn't stop here. There's so much more that lays ahead along your journey. Remain true to yourself, your values, roots, and the simple being that you are and was raised by. Know I am always here no matter what! You will always be my first born, my baby boy, my lil piglet, and your daddy's lil man. Congratulations baby boy- Michael Stevens
