Did you know, the week after July Fourth weekend is statistically is the largest amount of dog intakes in animal shelters? Unfortunately, dogs and fireworks don’t mix. Many dogs are terrified to death during these time and will be on flight mode to escape the house and run for their lives. Many will end up in shelters, and a large percentage will never be reclaimed, adding major problem to our shelter crisis, more dogs will be euthanized to make space. Shelter dogs are already living in pop up crates and those are running out as well.
