Here are some more pictures from the
@icehotelsweden in Jukkasjärvi. Some have asked about facilities such as toilets. Some rooms had their own warm spaces with toilet, shower and sauna. Other rooms, like ours, have this in nearby corridor. These are located in the part of the hotel that is kept cold all year round and here all rooms have a door into the room. In the part of the hotel that melts in the summer (most of the ice rooms are located here) there is a toilet in a building next door (it is the price of the room that determines how you choose to live) and here there are curtains to the rooms instead of doors. My husband woke up at night and went to the toilet without taking the key. He knocked on the door but I was sleeping soundly and snoring so it sounded like a brown bear in the room (he said) so he had to go out and to the building where the reception was to get a new one 😅 It was lucky our room had a door, otherwise my snoring would have woken up an entire corridor 🙈 All rooms had their own theme. You can see our room in the last picture, the theme was Drifted. At first we didn't think it was fully built, but it would simply look like that. Anyway, I slept very well in the cold (-7 Celcius) ❄️🤗
