It’s normal to have breakouts & acne or maybe you’re struggling with a damaged skin barrier like myself. Whatever it is just know we all have it at some point in our lives and it’s completely normal. My skin has always been rather free from major breakouts but I have been struggling with what I believe is a damaged skin barrier for a few weeks now and I just hope by sharing my journey it will help even just one person to feel like they are not alone. It’s very frustrating that there is no immediate fix to it but I keep reminding myself that this is just temporary. While it is hard to not do my usual skincare routine to try get rid of the inflammation I know that this is exactly what I shouldn’t do. So I’m gonna try to just take it as it comes, stripping my routine back to the basics and just let my skin heal.
I’m trying to be kind to myself because after all it’s just skin and it doesn’t make me or anyone else less worthy of being happy and feeling good in their own skin.
