The morning of…
I woke up on June 4th with an overwhelming sense of calm. No nerves, no stress—I really felt at peace. Stefan and I started the day with a long walk around the
@rosewoodcastigliondelbosco borgo and had breakfast together before parting ways to get ready separately.
I took my time with hair and makeup. We chatted, laughed, and listened to music. My hair was styled into a chignon paired with natural makeup. I wanted my look to be simple and timeless. The only jewelry I wore besides my engagement ring was a pair of diamond and pearl earrings, which matched Stefan’s pearl cuff links.
Getting into my wedding dress was a team effort—it took three people and about twenty minutes to clasp all the buttons. I designed my custom dress with
@casablancabridal , with thought given to every detail. I knew exactly what I wanted it to look like, and more importantly, how I wanted to feel in it.
I envisioned a classic silhouette with a high neckline, structured shoulders, and a ball gown skirt with a cathedral-length train. I loved choosing every element, from the exposed corset boning in the bodice, the scalloped hem, to the eighty five buttons down the back of the gown.
By early afternoon, with my dress finally on, it was time to meet Stefan for our first look in the lavender garden followed by the ceremony.
