To one of the most determined, independent, loving, ambitious, world travelers I know. She loved to travel the world and inspired the rest of the family to do it because you only live once. One thing I won’t ever forget is her taking care of me when I got out of the hospital from my back surgery and getting upset when I wouldn’t ask for help (😅 she would’ve done the same). She is one of the most resilient people I have ever met and she inspired me to keep going. If you met Granny G you would know that she would talk to anyone and everyone in a room. Fly high Granny G, and please watch over all of us while you are dancing in Heaven🕊️
Anyone who has been an athlete before knows that feeling of being done and needing the time and place to heal mentally and physically. Once Covid happened I lost a ton of motivation to feel at my best. I tried to always do that as an athlete and I needed to just do me and let it be what it was. At the end of January I decided to make lifestyle changes with early morning workouts and eating in better proportions but still eating what I love! The pics on the left are from today and the pictures on the right are from the end of March. To think these are only 2 months apart is rewarding because being a coach and constantly traveling and eating out made it difficult.
I am beyond proud of myself and I hope I can inspire the people around me! I struggled in many ways with eating and body image issues but now I can say I have found a healthy balance for myself but it will always be an uphill battle!! Always put your mind, body, and spirit first❤️
