RECIPE ⬇️
Ingredients
2 cups bread flour @kingarthurbaking
2 teaspoons instant dry yeast
1 tablespoon salt
1 cup of water plus two tablespoons extra if needed
1 tablespoon vegetable oil or olive oil plus extra to grease hands, parchment paper, and countertop.
3 cups hot water, to make steam in the oven
Process
1. Start by combining 2tbsp of active dry yeast with 1tbsp of sugar and 4tbsp of hot water cover for 10 mins
2. In a separate bowl add 3 1/3 cups of flour, 8 oz of water, 3 tbsp of oil, 1tbsp of sugar, 1/2 tbsp of salt and mix until the dough becomes elastic and it doesn't break when you pull, then let rest for 30 mins
3. After 30 mins add the wet ingredients and begin mixing until dough becomes more elastic than the first time
4. Cut into pieces, roll the dough into a form
5. Cover and let it rise for about 60-90 mins
6. At about 40 minutes while the break is rising, preheat the oven to 350 º F, place a baking pan at the bottom of the oven, and pour 3 cups of hot water into it. The oven should be very steamy when you put the bread in the oven.
6. Bake for 20 mins
7. Let cool
Do you love bread and coffee like I do?
