I attended the most amazing, eye-opening workshop over the weekend. Exploring new horizons and, of course, learning from the best producer
@dipa.demotwane
The intensive one day workshop was aimed, as the name suggests, at production and was how you do it with integrity, communication, and building long term relationships, which i totally believe in myself. She shared her workflow and her experiences freely to put it all in perspective.
Working with her has been one of my best experiences over the years. One of the producers who reminds you to raise the invoice if you forget!
Her aim is to build a sustainable culture, so every artist has a voice, which is very much required, and it is possible to do it all. It was a pleasure to meet some amazing people who wanted to build something different.
I am ambitious, but not at the cost of trampling over people. I have never been in a hurry, and this workshop reinforced that for me personally.
In her words, we are all "filmmakers," and production is a very creative job and a bridge between art and commerce.
Anyone who wants to explore and learn from the best should take this as one of their first steps in filmmaking.
