Happy heavenly birthday to my biggest inspiration. If you never had the chance to meet my Mom you really did miss out. She was one of a kind - always had something silly to say and her laugh was so infectious. She also seemed to always know the exact right words to say to anybody when they needed it. I have tried this past year to think about what she would say to me in my lowest moments and it always seems to help.
Her early departure and decade long battle with cancer (always with a smile ?!) has really taught me that this life is way too short to settle for less than the best and to live it to the absolute fullest.
I am repairing relationships that I let slip away, I am trying to stay on top of my health and BRCA2 gene, but most importantly I am trying to live how she would have wanted me to - laughing, having adventures, being kind to myself, expecting people to treat me well and not settling for anything less, and showing up for those people that show up for me. I hope I’m finally making her proud now by really doing that.
Yesterday I was honored to interview one of my heroes, @ellielaks , founder of the wonderful @thegentlebarn !! It’s always an interesting experience meeting people that you look up to, thankfully Ellie was as incredible as I’d hoped. We had an awesome interview and she even helped to heal a personal wound for me. I have read her book “The Gentle Barn” many times over in my life and am so excited for her next one “Cow Hug Therapy” pre-order now!

I am thrilled to share the news of my promotion to Lead Photographer at Exchange Media Group. These past two years have been filled with unforgettable moments as I’ve had the honor of capturing lives of countless remarkable people for our Good News Magazines. It’s been incredibly rewarding and every day is an adventure. The kindness and selflessness within our communities continues to blow me away. Our mission to build stronger communities through positive stories resonates deeply with me and I am excited to continue contributing to it in my new role.
As this new chapter begins, I’m looking forward to not only continuing my fieldwork for our magazines but also taking on the role of mentor to our talented photographers across several states.
This job has helped changed my life completely and I am thankful every single day for it and my wonderful team. I am particularly thankful for our wonderful Editor in Chief and friend Wesley Bryant for his dedication and unwavering support.

I recently had the pleasure of photographing puppies that needed homes for the Big Fluffy Dog Rescue. Great news is some have already been adopted and I will share those adorable photos soon.
But for now, Here is sweet Mabel and she is still in search of her forever home!

Mabel was born on 12/30/23 into rescue and is a perfect mix of half Great Pyrenees and the other half Lab, Husky, Shepherd and Malamute. She’s ready for a family of her very own!
This girl came into the world confident and ready to conquer. She is funny, sassy, and fearless! Mabel is the ringleader of her siblings and is wicked smart. She is good with all and will make a fun addition to your family!
Mabel is just a baby and will need a family dedicated to the training and socialization of a large breed puppy. She would love a dog playmate in her forever home but not required. Mabel is not suitable for apartment living.
