What happened in May 2024? Since May 2023: Home sales DECREASED by 20%, but….. number of listings INCREASED by 46%. That translates to more inventory, and essentially a slower price growth because there are many homes to choose from with less people buying. Interest rates go up and down, and you can always refinance if the rates decrease. It would be wise to take advantage of a market wherein there is more inventory; therefore buyers will be more negotiable, rather than a competitive market which will force you to compete and drive prices up.
