Never thought I’d share this, but here is my final “Archetype Project” from semester 1 of my final year in the Acting Conservatory here at @theatreyorku ✨
The “Archetype Project” is a 5 minute self-written and self-directed piece by the students in YorkU’s Fourth Year Acting Conservatory class.
My piece is inspired by the archetype of The Sage, whose quest is to seek the truth. By transcending the fear and obstacle of deception, The Sage finds the truth by attaining enlightenment, gaining the virtue of wisdom. 🌸
I usually keep my school life and drag career separate but I really wanted to share this with you all. Writing has always been a struggle for me so I often don’t share my written work publicly. BUT! I am very proud of this piece so here it is!! ❤️🔥
For pride this year, I really wanted to celebrate my chosen family ✨ I am so grateful to have these incredible people in my life.
This music video is dedicated to my chosen family. For making me laugh. For crying with me. For the arguments. For letting me live my true self. For the love 💛
This song by @rinasonline truly captures everything I feel. When I first listened to this song, I literally felt butterflies because of how beautiful the message was. So thank you Rina for this incredible song 💕
Happy Pride 🏳️🌈

AURORA is a short documentary film that showcases the art of drag and its beauty. It’s purpose is to immerse the audience in drag culture, and to define what drag is from the perspective of Anton Ling, popularly known as the Toronto based drag queen, Aurora Matrix. This film touches upon his personal story, journey, and represents him as “one of many voices within the community”. AURORA explores topics of homophobia and social norms. The film questions how we as individuals, as well as a community, can further establish a more accepting and inclusive environment to help support the youth of the next generations.
