Tennessee Health Commissioner Dr. Ralph Alvarado got a sneak peak of Baptist Memorial Hospital-Collierville’s ICU expansion and Baptist Health Sciences University College of Osteopathic Medicine on Tuesday. Baptist Collierville received $5.5 million dollars to expand its ICU from seven beds to 14.

1 yr ago today @baptistmemphis had me in tears and many of them the same as I left to be on hospice after there was nothing else the drs could do between my crazy clotting/bleeding blood depending on what day or time you catch it because this body will and still does throw some curve balls. Many many people at this hospital which had become our 2nd home being there literally 2-3 times a week for surgery in multiple arteries.
This day 1 yr ago was the last central line removal for me to go home on hospice with @askcrossroads as we couldn’t do anymore. The next surgery I had was a battery replacement to one of my bionic body parts.
I was given 3 weeks estimated due to no more TPN and in all honesty that would and should have been accurate BUT GOD….Psalm 3 but especially Psalm 3:5-7. That day like many times before in my life I handed it to God and laid it at His feet.
We can’t medically answer why I am still here. We cannot understand why and what my body is doing or not doing but what we do and can say is God has control. Today I am 1 year on Hospice and that my friends is a HUGE deal to be proud of and ironic that it falls on Memorial Day weekend.
Every single person in these photos and not in these photos that have taken this CRAZY, almost 14yr this July, ride with me, y’all are the reasons I made it this far mentally and emotionally but also physically when you supported me when I was weak.
Y’all gave me more of a reason to prove that with the right attitude and heart you can impact people and I never knew that until I heard how my faith and positive attitude impacted everyone. I am beyond thankful for all of you and Thank God for Him of course but also for every one of you and Baptist Hospital and all the staff that crossed paths with us. I thank God for my family and then most of you I have lasting lifelong friendships/family with because y’all helped me through everything. I cover y’all with pray daily but know that y’all touch lives and help people daily.
HERE’S TO 1 YEAR IN HOSPICE AND WHATEVER ELSE GOD HAS PLANNED FOR ME!!!! He will call me when it is His Will!! I love y’all 🩵🤍❤️
