Excited to announce that "Newport: In This Together", a documentary by award-winning director @suesipprelle about how the people of Newport, RI pulled together during the pandemic and rediscovered their resilience, community bonds and hope, will be available on pbs.org beginning May 1st and air on @rhodeislandpbs on May 5, 7 and 10. I had the honor and pleasure to compose the music for this project alongside @joelgoodmanmusic . A film with a truly inspiring message about how humans can find solidarity and come together in times of crisis, while finding innovative ways to face their challenges. A few months ago I was interviewed by German radio broadcaster "Die Neue 107.7" for their podcast "Mein bester Tag". If you want to learn more about my work and life as a film composer in L.A. (and if you understand German... 😉) you can now find it on Spotify. #filmcomposer#composerlife#losangeles#hollywood#podcast#interview#dieneue1077
"Der Nahe Osten zwischen Krieg und Frieden" ("The Middle East Between War and Peace"), a documentary I scored a few months ago, will air Tuesday next week on French-German TV broadcaster Arte. As always it's been an honor and pleasure to work with @thomasaders and @joa_swr on this thorough and gripping film about the current political shifts in the Middle East. Also it was fascinating to explore some of the rich musical traditions of that region and try to hint at them in my score. #documentary#filmmusic#filmscore#composer#arte#tv
Still mindblown after seeing "Everything Everywhere All at Once" this morning, including Q&A with directors Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert as well as actors Michelle Yeoh, Stephanie Hsu and Harry Shum Jr. Fantastic movie (fantastic score as well)!
Found out by accident that my track "Do Your Own Dance" got used in the Emmy Awards show to introduce the nominations for Directing for a Comedy Series. 🎶
