Friends, we’ll be closing up shop here on the 4th and 5th, but we wanted to give you a little gift considering the holiday. Here is a video we’ve had a hold of for some time, but it seems like a good time to share it again considering the date. Almost exactly 50 years ago today, Wendell was invited to speak at the ‘Agriculture For A Small Planet’ Symposium in Spokane, Washington. This speech, written on a yellow legal pad on the trip out west, would be the catalyst for his book ‘The Unsettling Of America’. We hope you’ll be able to take a few minutes this holiday (or holiday weekend, no rush) and listen to one of the real foundation stones of our work here at the Center.
