Today we were joined by @irishblackowned , @misscongoeireann and @apnireland and spoke about their work in supporting, promoting and highlighting Black and African businesses, entrepreneurs and professionals in Ireland 🇮🇪 Listen back to hear about the organisations, their respective initiatives, the importance on highlighting business/entrepreneurial talent in the community and their hopes for the future! 🖤💚

We stand in solidarity with Ukrainians right now as they face this evil encroachment on their liberty and human rights. We also condemn the fact that black people in the region have particularly been mistreated while trying to flee. They fear for their lives like everyone else. They deserve safety and refuge like everyone else. We are calling on the government to ensure our European neighbours do not engage in discrimination and racism while evacuating asylum seekers from Ukraine. The spectre of war is enough for anyone to have to contend with. Having the colour of their skin prevent them from reaching solitude is completely unacceptable. We also call on the government to increase efforts to ensure all Irish people get home safely. We will be reaching out to the black Irish women in Sumy shortly to see how we can help.
