Joe has always made my tattoo dreams happen, this is something I have thought about for years and its come to life beautifully. One thing that I want to really praise about him is how well he takes care of clients. This piece took about 5 sessions and its because of how well Joe paid attention to how my body was reacting in certain spots. He explained to why my right side of sternum was more painful than my center/left side and he would do sessions to only on my right. He didnt make me feel bad when I needed a break and he checked in regularly. It helped a lot and It has made me trust him even more than I already did. I held his hands as much as possible while telling him that was dumb/gay everytime. I cuddled him everytime we even touched a bed but bit him until he became annoyed to flick my nose. He had to stay one night away from me for work and I said he snored too much but was pouting the whole night because I missed it. I feel like a more chaotic Helga from Hey Arnold lol
Im glad I traveled to see him but I hated that I needed to leave and that I have to wait 2 months to see him again. He tried to remind me that we would see each other soon but I still holding his hand when we said goodbye 5 times.

SW have been around since the need for goods and services. SWers have built schools and communities, Queer SWers started pride, black SWers started HIV education and outreach. Wherever there is a human rights revolution there is always a SWer forefront.
I personally have done many forms of SW. I teach classes on kink, perform demos, gogo dancing , online content, phone calls/txting, dom/sub work and paid companionship. Im a whore of all trades but I also have vanilla jobs that I work and neither one is more dignified than the other. Both jobs have hurt my body, both jobs are risky when it comes to my mental, saftey and emotional well-being the only difference between the 2 is that I don't plan my outfit for the one.
SW has saved me from being homeless many times when vanilla jobs wernt enough, still does today. Its helped me survive this capitalist nightmare and I am lucky/greatful. Like many I started in the lockdown and I personally dont think I will stop, not just for survival but for advocation. I am privileged to be able to speak out and be open a because I give 0 fucks and am not ashamed/scared to be out about it. Unfortunately many are fearful and for good reason, so I want to use my unhinged privilege to help.

Last night while I was setting up my wax play demo at ELIs, a man named Robert gave me this tape. I at first thought it was a band album because its the bay everyones got a demo lol But upon a closer look its was a tape of a dear friend who I looked up to and was a fundamental part of growth, Pat Wright.
Pat was the handyman for Gilman, he was there all time keeping that old fire hazard afloat literally and figuratively. He had a warm heart and a spirit for community, anytime there was some infighting at the space I always looked to him for insight to help me understand the reason I had been volunteering there for so long. He had a millions keys on him as he had stories from his time in community, I always loved listening to them. He was a union president who welcomed many lost punks into the field so they could build a skill, even offered it to me. Pat Wright was a good person, who I wish more people were like.
Seeing him on this tape gave me a wave of emotions from joy to sadness.
Trying to fight back tears, I thanked Robert for this gift and how he knew I would want this but realized I was about to go on so I found him after. Pat apparently kept a heavy record of himself from voicemails to notes, Robert has them and turned some of them . He recognized me from a photo I took with Pat at Gilman and gave me one. This is the one time I wish I owned a cassette player lol Beside my performance going well, this tape made my whole night, week and month.

Last sunday I got to be a kitty for Hex a queer burlesque event! Which means I got to clean up and grab money for a bunch of talented pretty people. I even got complimented and stepped on with heels.
